Microsoft News in Brief

This is a few pieces of useful information which we thought you might like to know about Microsoft.

Seemingly over the weekend there was a failure in validation of Windows Vista through the WGA Tool created and used by Microsoft (Windows Genuine Advantage).

With windowsXP its not built-in, it can be downloaded, alternative versions can also be downloaded too ;)

With Windows Vista it’s actually built-in to the operating system, Microsoft hoping nobody could crack it - well there’s many fake versions of Vista on the scene and the corporate giant is unwilling to admit its failing against its battle in piracy.

WGA according to one source is a DRUG of microsofts Executives as its all they talk about … the reason for the Validation Failure was due to Human Error (Thats right - everybody else blames computers - microsoft blames humans!!) - seemingly the pre-production codes were loaded incorrectly.

There is also a fail-safe mechanism on the WGA which should give microsofts customers the benefit of the doubt - well that didn’t happen.

Microsoft won’t admit to its failure with WGA, however it seems the corporate giant is working with busted piracy users and giving them legal versions of Windows to help over-come piracy with its software.

In other Microsoft news - they are now holding off their Windows Vista Service Pack - as they see it as a Marketin Oppertunity - the other claim is they’re holding it off because of the new Windows Server 2008 will be late launched.

Don’t Quote us on this one - but we have reason to believe that Microsoft will not be releasing the Service Pack to people not on-line, in otherwords you get it from their website or if you buy a new PC probably early in 2009 after the next PC upgrade cycle takes place.
