The film moves along at a steady, exciting pace, with skillfully staged action and suspense that will have audience members on the edge of their seats
In general it stays very faithful to the source material, there is quite a bit of added embellishment to make for a grander and more spectacular epic, with added battle and chase sequences that are deftly handled and add to the story and the level of excitement, where in less skilled hands they could have easily overtaken it.
The level of action, and violence, is really quite a bit stronger than in the first film, and the film has a darker, grittier tone, which makes it something of a surprise that the filmmakers got away with a PG rating
A year after their first adventure in Narnia, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are pulled back in by Susan’s magic horn.
They find that hundreds of years have passed, and Narnia is now ruled by the bloodthirsty General Miraz, uncle to the true heir, Prince Caspian, now in exile.

Goofs
- Crew or equipment visible: When Caspian enters Miraz’s room at night, during the raid of the castle, the camera pulls out to a shot where Caspian is standing over Miraz in bed. A camera shadow is visible on Caspian’s shoulder.
- Continuity: When the Pevensies are outside their treasure chamber in Cair Paravel, Peter tears off a piece of his shirt to make a makeshift torch. After Edmund takes out his flashlight, the camera once again shows Peter. The missing piece of his shirt has gotten bigger and is also on the wrong side.
- Revealing mistakes: When our heroes are spying on the bad guys who are busy building artillery it is easy to see that the logs they are hiding behind have been limbed with a saw, not an ax which would be much quicker and more evident to an army in a hurry. Looks very much like they were done with a chainsaw.
- Continuity: When the Narnians are storming the Telmarine castle, Edmund finds himself trapped on a high up ledge with many guards up there with him. We see from a shot taken from below a guard falling off, but all the other guards including Edmund have vanished, then re-appear in the next shot.
- Continuity: After Miraz backhands General Glozelle, there is blood on the general’s lips. However, when there is a closeup of the general at the end of the scene, only his bottom lip is bloody. There is no sign indicating that he wiped the blood away, especially since he was holding a sword in his hand and would have been unable to.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Miraz’s troops are marching, the sound of their marching is not synchronized to their footsteps.
