My Bloody Valentine 3-D

My Bloody Valentine 3D is one of those really rare kinds of horror flicks.

It delivers buckets of gore, brisk pacing, and a lot of in your face 3D goodness. Sit close to the front of your theater for the maximum effect (if you dare!).

There is brutality in king size portions, sure to satisfy the most hardcore of horror fans. :P

They really pull out all the stops with that pickaxe’s of his. nice!

Tom (Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people.

Instead of a homecoming, however, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame (King) is the only one will believes he’s innocent.

The Hive

The Hive is a film about ants and artificial intelligence.

Its not just a horror movie with scenes of flesh eatin ants, it also stumbles upon the idea of ants having their own intellegince as one team to build many tools and images.

Just think – one day this may happen!

Pineapple Express

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s much-anticipated follow-up to “Superbad” is an excellent screenplay, but expect none of the realism and resonance of that film; “Pineapple Express” is all about the laughs, and the laughs are certainly here, and they are practically non-stop, with just about every scene featuring some great dialogue, acting, or the sort of incredible sight gag this movie does so well.

In addition to David Gordon Green’s excellent work as director, the film is technically super.

Lazy court-process clerk and stoner Dale Denton has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver: to purchase weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express.

When Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city’s most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene.

How To Lose Friends And Alienate People looked like it might be different to the average rom-com we get these days, it looked like it was going to be a smart and satirical look at mainstream Hollywood.

It’s in exactly the same vein as Run Fat Boy Run.

I’m not saying that it’s a bad film because it isn’t and neither is Run Fat Boy Run, but just felt like I’d seen it all before.

Sidney Young is a disillusioned intellectual who both adores and despises the world of celebrity, fame and glamour.

His alternative magazine, Post Modern Review, pokes fun at the media obsessed stars and bucks trends, and so when Young is offered a job at the diametrically opposed conservative New York based Sharps magazine its something of a shock!

A new version of Microsoft Windows

Windows 7 (Trial)

On 9 January members of the public will get the chance to download the successor to Windows for themselves.

Windows 7 would be the pivot of a broader Microsoft push to improve the way its separate software and service families work together.

The minimum requirements for running Windows 7 are a PC with a 1 Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of disk space, 128MB of video memory and support for DX9 graphics.

Some of the Windows 7’s features help it work with other devices.

A “home group” system makes it straightforward to enrol PCs, Xbox consoles, media servers and other gadgets into a local network that can share media and content.

As with Vista it also comes with anti-piracy features, where your machine crashes when installing peer 2 peer software or torrent software, also this new version enables tracking.

Microsoft know their stuff.

Hopefully when released in full it will not be riddled with bugs ;)

Prison Break fans, there’s really no easy way to say this so we’ll just take a very direct approach: Prison Break is coming to an end…soon.

Fox today announced the series will be ending at the conclusion of this season.

Prison Break is currently on a little vacation, as Fox beefs up its midseason schedule with the aforementioned trio and a little program called American Idol.

However, Fox did schedule a return for the final episodes of Prison Break–they begin their run April 17.

Before fans organize a save-the-show campaign complete with an assault of freshly shaven hair and teabags, consider this: Prison Break was originally conceived as a one-season show or mini-series, but instead was stretched out to four full seasons.

Well Prison Breakers, do you agree with Fox’s Reilly?

Did the show run out of gas?

Who will you miss most when the screen goes dark?

Hit And Run

Watching “hit and run” is not a comfortable experience.

Beyond the obvious gut-wrenching events of the film, it will make you wonder, “What would I do in a similar situation?” the story is pretty ambiguous which is good.

You don’t know who to sympathize with… Emser or the girl.

A night of Spring Break partying turns into a living nightmare for student Mary Murdock (Laura Breckenridge) after hitting a bump on a dark road only to find a man dangling from her car’s bumper.

Panicked, Mary frantically beats him unconscious, buries him in the woods and returns home to cover her tracks.

But when it becomes clear that her victim survived her brutal attack and wants her dead.

Solar Flare

The script has some nice sarcasm and amusing moments, the acting is really not that bad – sure the plot line is a little cheesy, but the film is quite tongue in cheek. :P

The main actors do a good job of portraying strong female leads; the young lad plays the nerdy geek well.

The football coach can be a tad wooden in places, but hey hey, three iffy scenes won’t kill you. nice :P

An only child raised by a tough-talking single mother, fifteen-year-old Riley has always stood out.

A math genius fascinated by the universe, Riley has developed a groundbreaking new way to accurately predict the frequency of dangerous solar flares.

Soon he discovers that a huge solar storm is hours away from frying the earth’s power grid.
