The script, of all things, was the main problem.
Sacrificing well plotted jokes for bursts of crudity and gay jokes just doesn’t make very watchable comedy (unless you’re into that).
Conflicts were started and never resolved, characters were introduced but never given personalities, characters pop out of nowhere in different points of the film and make you wondering “Who the hell are you?” because, well, we never saw them before that particular point. Poor writing altogether.
Shawn Colfax and Nick Brady, the stars of the Gerald R. Ford High School football team, are dreading the prospect of another summer at football camp. When Nick hatches a scheme for the two to join their school’s cheerleaders at cheer camp instead, they find themselves awash in a sea of gorgeous young women.
