Crank 2 High Voltage

If you’ve watched the first Crank and enjoyed it, you will absolutely love this one.

It pushes the boundaries the first one set to the absolute maximum.

There are no lines this film does not cross, from outrageous public sex scenes to gore that almost rivals the Saw franchise. ;)

It will keep your heart pounding for the entire film’s duration.

It’s one of the most hilarious, stylish and down-right insane films I have watched in a while.

Jason Statham, returns in Crank 2: High Voltage, picking up where the first film left off except this time, Chelios is chasing a Chinese gangster who hijacked his heart and substituted it with a mechanical one that needs to be jolted with an electric charge to stay pumping.

With Amy Smart and Dwight Yoakam set to reprise their roles from the original.

Hannah Montana: The Movie

The setting for this movie should have been Wisconsin, not Tennessee because there was more cheesy cliché’s than you could count.

There were a few funny moments but for the most part it was just bad rip offs of the 3 stooges type comedy like the brother getting caught in the revolving door while everyone was going in and out.

Disney had a chance to really make a point of never forgetting where your roots are remembering your family comes first but they sadly missed the boat on both accounts instead focusing weakly on how Hannah is more important than being true to yourself.

Walt Disney Pictures takes the Disney Channel phenom to the big screen in a feature film extravaganza.

Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) struggles to juggle school, friends and her secret pop-star persona; when Hannah Montana’s soaring popularity threatens to take over her life—she just might let it.

Adventureland

I must say, this movie was done quite adequately.

There was nothing wrong with it and the acting was good (for the most part).

The screenplay rolled along safely with lots of chuckles and a handful of belly laughs.

While it is hilarious it also has you really pulling for the young lovers and gets you involved in their affairs.

With out giving too much away, all I can say is if you liked Superbad, you’ll like Adventureland, if you hated Superbad, you’ll like Adventureland.

It’s a win-win situation. nice!

It’s the summer of 1987, and James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg), an uptight recent college grad, can’t wait to embark on his dream tour of Europe.

But when his parents (Wendie Malick and Jack Gilpin) announce they can no longer subsidize his trip, James has little choice but to take a lowly job at a local amusement park.

Valkyrie

One of the best movies I’ve seen in years.

In the world where special effects and cheesy plots make 99% of all films, “Valkyrie” delivers psychological thriller with a lesson in history.

This movie is the first film I have ever seen that presents German People as human beings trapped in the wheels of a spinning war machine, and not merely monsters responsible for all WWII atrocities.

Tom Cruise appears as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, one of the key plotters. Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard, Terence Stamp and Tom Wilkinson also feature.

Cruise’s casting caused controversy among German politicians and members of von Stauffenberg’s family because of the actor’s practice of Scientology, which is considered a cult in the country.

Obsessed

The beginning started pretty descent, then once he started to get to know the “Obsessed” temp, the movie started to get really weird.

I think they over exaggerated this movie way to much.

The acting was horrible and the ending fight scene was hilarious!

This movie could of been a huge success, but they hired really bad actors and actresses except the girl that played the temp, she’s a good actress, she knows better than to sign up for this stuff ;)

let’s see, successful Idris Elba receives huge promotion at some company he works for, he’s s happily married to Beyonce and they have a nice house with a white-picket fence out in the suburbs.

It’s the American dream come true, right?

There’s a new temp in the office (Ali Larter) and the two of them hit it off but only after he gives her a snotty look with the remark, “You’re a temp?” and they go out to a flashy glitzy club and share drinks and before you know it, they’re all over each other right away.

There is no nudity or explicit sex involved; well it’s PG-13 so it’s very tame.

There’s just a lot of groping and grinding, sorry guys. ;)

Fast And Furious

The movie does an excellent job of keeping you on the edge of your seat, there’s no shortage of action and a story that keeps your attention.

The movie starts out in the DR with Vin Diesel pulling off a fairly implausible heist of hijacking a fuel tanker with his new crew.

Like the previous three, you certainly need to suspend your disbelief for the duration of the movie, however I was glad to see they didn’t go overboard and kept the special effects and CGI to what seemed like a happy minimum. ;) nice

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker team up again for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed— “Fast & Furious.”

Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller.

The Haunting in Connecticut

This movie did honestly scare the crap out of me.

All I watch is scary movies, and I never get scared, especially with the crap they produce lately. ;)

But this one was different.

Yes, they used cheap scares, and noises, and “dark man in corner” tricks.. but really, after a few decades of scary movies, new tricks become sparse.

The only difference becomes the execution of the cheap trick, and I thought the execution was very good.

I see a lot of people talking about how its “just another ghost story”… well, yes.

Ghosts haunt houses, appear in your sleep, bother you, scare you… the works.

So for true horror movie fans, I definitely recommend checking this one out.

Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with a horror movie based completely in fantasyland, like Nightmare on Elm Street or Jason :) , but the creepiest horror usually has a dose of reality.

This film will scare you, it will make you think and it will leave a lasting impression.

Based on a true story, The Haunting in Connecticut charts one family’s real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural.

When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history:

House

Nothing special about this film, really.

It’s kinda like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre without any gore.

People stuck in a house, people running around scared.

A bogeyman, the occupants are weirdos etc.

So you have seen this before if you’re a horror fan, even if you’re not you still seen this before.

I have to admit that I did not miss the gore, so the movie delivers somewhat without the gore.

What comes to the actors, it was a mixed mess.

Some scenes were good and then some were so silly or so out of this world that you just had to cringe.

This movie here is horror only for those who don’t watch horror regularly.

Oh, and if someone thinks that the ending is something special or it has some deeper meaning, well haha to you sir.

It has been done several times in horror movie history.

Here’s how this film “imitates life”: if you LOOK for flaws, you’ll find some, but if you look for blessings, ways to challenge yourself and opportunities to grow, you just may find those, too.

The action sequences are exceptionally well done.

A few good laughs are sprinkled in for good measure.

This film will not resonate with everyone, especially if you approach it from the mindset that there are no simple truths.

But anyone with a less-than-perfect marriage could benefit from seeing it–and that includes all of us, doesn’t it!? well … maybe haha ;)
