Halloweentown 1986-2006
Friday, October 30th, 2009
This is one of the greatest movies ever seen!
The acting was excellent, the plot was totally original.
We all know that Halloweentown is just a Disney channel movie but come on, it totally rocked…
Kimberly J. Brown was and still is an excellent actress and she ruled the part just like all of the other actors and actresses on the movie set.
This movie is a great movie that we can actually watch like three times in a day and every year.
This is a true Halloween movie and hey, if we did not know any better, we would actually think that Halloweentown is an actual place and i would so want to go there… Who wouldn’t?
This includes the full series.
Witches, warlocks and haunted hijinks are just routine as Halloweentown nears its 1000th Anniversary.
This year Marnie Piper and lil’ bro Dylan return as students at the prestigious Witch University.
Marnie’s cauldron of trouble immediately starts bubbling over.
Not only must she deal with the pranks of three wicked witch classmates – the Sinister sisters- but someone is plootting to use Marnie’s magic to take control of Halloweentown forever.
have fun!

Adoration
Thursday, October 29th, 2009
“Adoration” is an effective and intelligent look at topical and relevant issues, but really shines as an examination of the nature of human thought, the results of the sort of environment which surrounds us, where hatred and prejudice is born, and ultimately as a character study of three individuals who all need to overcome events in their past by embracing and fully understanding them.
Simon (Devon Bostick) lives with his uncle (Scott Speedman).
Some years previously his father had crashed the family car, killing himself and Simon’s mother.
But Simon has always suspected it may not have been an accident.
In the course of a high school assignment, Simon writes an article in which he reworks his family’s past and then puts the piece on the internet, effectively giving himself a false identity.
He then starts to use this to try to investigate what really happened.

Saw VI
Monday, October 26th, 2009
The deaths are gore- filled, the story full of revelations and twists.
The traps are still amazingly sadistic, and somehow the writers are able to constantly give us new insight into situations we thought we already had figured out.
Everything fits in beautifully in the Saw universe, and just when you think they can’t possibly explain any more, they surprise us yet again.
We won’t give away any spoilers, but suffice it to say the ending had us on the edge of our seats.
We always cringe when the credits roll- we want more! more! more!…especially with this one.
This surpasses Saw V by miles … left breathless, hating the critics, and wondering what will come next, waiting for yet dreading the end of the series.
This is a big thing, considering we’re usually of the mindset that sequels should never pass 3- if that.
As far as we’re concerned, they can just keep making Saw, as we’ll always be there, watching.
Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy.
However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.

Dead Snow
Saturday, October 24th, 2009This is how to make a cool movie; balance the humor and horror, special effects that don’t over power the movie, and most importantly: actors that care what they are doing and do it well!
Fritt Vilt one and two (Two not being as good as the first, but that’s the norm) were leagues over what Hollywood has put out in over 20 years, just small budget horror from people who care what they put out.
The only complaint is that it’s hard to get these movies in English subtitles, but that is in no way a knock to these fine movies.
If you can get hold of the these films and are a horror buff, find them, you won’t be disappointed.
Keep it up Norway!!!!!!
A group of friends had all they would need for a successful Easter vacation; cabin, skis, snowmobile, toboggan, copious amounts of beer and a fertile mix of the sexes.
Certainly, none of them had anticipated not returning home alive!
However, the Nazi-zombie battalion haunting the mountains surrounding the aptly named Oksfjord had other plans.

The Maiden Heist

Peter Hewitt casts great actors to play the role of museum security guards who have spent the better part of their lives standing still.
Each of these guards becomes attached to and finds meaning for his life in one of the pieces of art of the museum.
However unexciting the main storyline might be, Hewitt uses the script to build this satire on so much realism that it makes for a good comedy.
If you are looking for a light and innocent comedy, can look past a couple stereotypes and predictable twists, than you might enjoy this movie.
Three security guards (Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, and William H. Macy) scheme to steal their favorite pieces of artwork that their museum is about to relinquish to another gallery in this Peter Hewitt-helmed crime-comedy.
A comedy centered on three museum security guards who devise a plan to steal back the artworks to which they have become attached after they are transferred to another museum.
