Don’t listen to what anyone else says yes there’s problems its not perfect but every movie cant be the dark knight.
Robert Downey Jr does a great job reprising his role as Tony Stark while Don Cheadle is way better than Terrance Howard as James Rhodes.
There is Mickey Rourke who is one of the best bad guys we have seen in a while, Scarlett Johansson is smoking hot as Black Widow or Natasha Romanov (very nice), Sam Rockwell does a great job as Tony Stark rival and antagonist.
Justin Hammer and kind of steels the movie in a funny way and unfortunately Gwyneth Paltrow just complains and yells the whole movie.
If you don’t mind some talking (and Gwyneth Paltrow)
then there’s a lot to enjoy here even more so if your a fan of the comics.
P.S. stay after the credits – but we didn’t tell you

Goofs!
- Continuity: In the prison break, Mickey Rourke has a bag placed over his head and taken downstairs backwards by two guards.
When the camera angle changes, he is being taken downstairs forwards. - Continuity: When Tony Stark is on stage at the Stark Expo, his dress-shirt is white.
Immediately after he walks off stage to check his blood toxicity in the wings, his shirt has turned to a black one.
It then changes again when we get a POV shot of him walking through the crowd to his car: you can see his cuffs are white, but when we get a reverse shot of him walking out of the building not only is his shirt black again, but he is not wearing his jacket. - Continuity: On the first half of the movie, Ivan Vanko’s mustache changes in size and lip coverage several times.
- Revealing mistakes: In the scene when the medals are awarded at the end, one of the microphones on the lectern (an SM57) doesn’t have a cable going into it.
- Continuity: At the end when Senator Stern presents the medals to Tony Stark and Rhodey, Tony Stark puts his arm behind the Senators back for the photo, but in the next shot of the cameraman running towards them to take a photo it is in front of him again.
- Continuity: When Ivan Vanko has dinner with Justin Hammer in the airport hanger the wine and water glasses continually change position and volume.
- Errors in geography: The two city views introducing the location of Anton and Ivan Vanko’s apartment are shot in Stockholm, Sweden, not Russia.
- Continuity: When Justin Hammer is threatening Ivan by taking away his bird, Ivan’s outer shirt zipper changes positions several times.
- Plot holes: Toward the end of the movie when Justin Hammer and Pepper Potts are behind the stage of the Stark Expo, the engineers claim that cellular service is down because of Ivan’s doings, yet Pepper manages to call the police on her cell phone.
(The cut after that scene when Black Widow is running out of the expo, Hogan says “Why is no one answering their cell phones?” thus further confirming that cellular networks are down.) - Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Mickey Rourke’s character makes occasional errors in Russian (tense, case, etc.) that no native speaker would do.
- Revealing mistakes: Pepper Potts sees a full intra day chart of Stark Industries stock on TV at 7:30 AM Pacific.
The market has only been open for 2 hours. - Revealing mistakes: When Tony Stark lets a woman try out his iron man glove, the blast comes from the fingers, and not the palm where the energy is concentrated.
- Continuity: During the senate hearing, Pepper Potts is seated at Tony’s left, behind him.
After the appearance of Rhodes, Pepper disappears – she is no longer seen in the audience behind Tony in various shots, including when he walks down the aisle after declaring that he has privatized world peace. - Continuity: In the scene where Justin Hammer locks up Ivan Vanko with the “babysitters” he is wearing a black jacket which unzippers with every cut.
In the final cut to Vanko, the jacket is completely zippered up again. - Continuity: The strawberries on Pepper’s desk change positions in the duration of the scene.
- Continuity: During Tony and Pepper’s scene in the CEO’s office at Stark Industries, there is a swinging toy on her desk which annoys Tony greatly.
This toy is at a different part of its motion nearly every time the camera angle changes. - Continuity: When Tony goes to Pepper with the strawberry’s the building behind her has the “Stark Industries” logo, however Tony calls the company “Stark Enterprises” in conversation.
Furthermore, even though the desktop background on the computer is obscured we can see the letters “–ARK ——-tional”. It can be assumed that the background reads Stark International. - Continuity: When Vanko is examining Hammer’s drones his hair is caught under the side of his glasses in the close shots and is over the glasses in the long shots.
- Revealing mistakes: In the scene after the credits, the car Agent Coulson is driving has a New Mexico plate on the front, but New Mexico only issues one plate, for the back of the vehicle.
- Continuity: On the F1 track, Vanko hits Happy’s car and the airbag opens. After that, the image is showing Vanko approaching Tony and the car’s airbag isn’t open.
- Continuity: When Tony Stark has Jarvis scan the scale model his father made of Stark Industries, the Iron Man that was earlier stolen by Rhodey is seen in the background.
- Miscellaneous: Stan Lee is listed in the credits as playing “Himself.”
However, in the film he appears as talk show host Larry King. - Continuity: When Tony Stark is on stage at the Stark Expo, he is visibly walking forward in several close-up shots.
In every long-shot, however, he is shown standing in the very center of the round part of the stage. - Continuity: Agent Coulson was reassigned to “Far, Far, Away” but is seen at the medals ceremony.
After the credits he is seen again in far away land in the teaser clip. - Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Natalie asks Tony if the martini she’s handing him is “dirty enough”, when its obviously a clear, lemon-twist styled martini – none of the olives or olive juice that would make it a dirty martini.
- Continuity: In the scene where Tony is about to make the new element, he is using a laser that cuts through everything in the room, including a metal ring/collar that holds the precursor to the new material.
This metal ring is clearly cut from the front, but when shown from behind, the ring/collar is no longer cut. - Revealing mistakes: “Kodak” is written backwards on a building in the final rooftop scene, revealing use of a mirror image.
- Continuity: When Tony is attempting to create the new element, the laser slices through one side of the metal framework that holds the power source. In the next shot, as he removes the power source from the framework, there is no evidence of the damage.
- Factual errors: LTC Rhodes and Tony Stark are awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Distinguished Service Medal (DSM) respectively.
While Rhodes’ medal is plausible, there is no way that Stark could legally receive the DSM, as it is only awarded to military personnel for combat action. - Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Justin Hammer’s (Sam Rockwell) palms are heavily stained from self tanner throughout the entire scene where he is dining in the hangar and meeting Ivan Vanko for the first time. He flashes his hands considerably more during this scene than any other.
