This is an interesting war film set in Iraq after the Oscar winning ‘Hurt Locker’ but it is not a disappointment, it entertains and retains interest throughout.
Clearly not based on true events but Paul Greengrass positively sets out to tell us that we were all misled by the propaganda of Iraq having weapons of nuclear disarmament, not so it seems!
Yes, good link up between Greengrass and Matt Damon with clear links to the Bourne series.
Damon himself has been a busy boy lately what with Invictus and The Informant.
So many Iraq war films have now been made that the subject matter is rapidly becoming less than interesting. this is likely to be classified as just another Iraq war film and quite easily forgotten.
Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, United 93) re-team for their latest electrifying thriller in Green Zone.
Set in the chaotic early days of the Iraqi War where no one could be trusted and every decision could detonate unforeseen consequences.
During the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad in 2003, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Damon) and his team of Army inspectors were dispatched to find weapons of mass destruction believed to be stockpiled in the Iraqi desert.
