Microsoft has made numerous changes to the Windows 7 user interface in response to user feedback, which is scheduled for formal launch either at the end of this year or early next year depending other factors.
Microsoft also made changes to alerts that signal when an application needs attention.
The icon for a so-called “needy” application will now flash up to seven times, as opposed to the previous three, in an effort to grab the user’s attention.
Windows Vista, the company’s current Operating System, has failed to catch on with mainstream computer users while businesses have shunned it outright.
Many users have complained about Vista’s hardware requirements, intrusive security measures, and lack of compatibility with older applications.
Windows 2000 and ME were repackaged editions of Windows 98
hopefully Windows 7 a repack of Vista will be more accepted as a dependable new operating system.
Built on the technology of Windows NT 4.0 …. Windows XP is the best Windows eXPerience!

The ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB will drop in price and is designed to compete at the same price point of sale as NVIDIA’s GTS 250 512MB version.
The Radeon HD 4830 will be replaced by another part soon at a lower price point of sale.
ATI’s price cuts are anticipated to take effect early this week.

In response to user feedback, its been reported that Microsoft has made numerous changes to the Windows 7 user interface as they ready the operating system viewed by many as a make or break product for the software maker.
Microsoft also made changes to alerts that signal when an application needs attention.
The icon for a so-called “needy” application will now flash up to seven times, as opposed to the previous three.
Other changes also include a more noticeable flashing animation in a bolder color of orange.
Additional changes include modifications to the taskbar pane that allow it to display a greater number of application icons, a change that makes it easier for users to pin new apps to the taskbar, and more flexible icon and gadget view options.
Microsoft needs Windows 7 to be a hit.

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said that the 7th iteration of Microsoft’s popular mobile OS will be released to manufacturing next year.
Microsoft told ET that Windows Mobile will get more and more shared technology with Windows, bringing in technology such as, “browsers, presentation services, and even, in the future, the kernel, and that the amount of shared technology will only increase over time.”
Lastly, Microsoft confirmed that the corporation will not be producing a Microsoft Phone, but only sticking to the phone operating systems.

The DRM protection prevented customers from listening to music on unauthorized devices and limited the copies they could burn onto CDs.
The company facees competition from Amazon.com Inc., which charges as little as 79 cents a song - with no copy protection.
While record labels liked having DRM, they also wanted variable prices, letting them charge more for popular songs.
Apple has also disclosed plans for songs to be made available will cost 69 cents, 99 cents, or $1.29 starting in April, with most albums going for $9.99.

Originally Microsoft had given Windows XP OEM licenses until 31st January 2009 however - Microsoft have eased off and renewed the deadline for OEM distributors to make Windows XP OEM licenses available up until 31st December 2009.
This is yet another sign of the market’s resistance to Windows Vista, and of the growing realization within the channel that many customers have decided to simply skip Vista and wait for the arrival of Windows 7.
Microsoft says that should be ready for late 2009 or early 2010, but some reports have suggested it could come as early as mid-2009.
Good news all round

Well Microsoft’s newest tactic is going to make Vista look pretty bad.
The apparent decision to allow OEM computer sellers to offer disks that downgrade installations of Windows Vista to XP until the end of July 2009 clearly bumps up against the period when Windows 7 might be released.
Originally the deadline was January 2009.
Long Live XP!

Check this, this here is Windows 7, the successor of Windows Vista.
At first glance, Windows 7 maintains the streamlined look of Vista, but appears more muted — even Windows XP-like.
Mostly, Microsoft seems to be focusing more on functionality, possibly in a bid to put some distance between Windows 7 and the criticisms which have dogged Vista.
Microsoft seemed to have listened to the criticisms and have fine tuned Windows Graphical experience and other features.
The official release of Windows 7 should be next year.
