Halloween II

04 Sep

Zombie’s “re-imagining” of the second coming of Michael Myers was way off.

Yeah he spiced up the original with Michael’s backstory, but he completely redid the second one. :D

So if you just want to see people get stabbed with a cool directorial style and nice lighting (oh and boobs ;) , lots of those) then yeah you might like it.

But for what it’s worth, the backbone of any good movie is good source material, and the source material for this was Zombie’s lackluster screenplay.

Shame… the first one was so promising, this one definitely ended it. Not only because Zombie says he won’t direct another, but because it went so far downhill from the first one it basically killed itself.

Oh and the final scene in the movie is ridiculously laughable and will most likely give you a WTF look on your face. Just another slasher flick. Nothing special here.

Michael Myers is still at large and no less dangerous than ever.

After a failed reunion to reach his baby sister at their old home, Laurie Strode is immediately taken to a hospital to be treated by the wounds that had been afflicted by her brother a few hours ago.

However, Michael isn’t too far off and will continue his murdering ‘Halloween’ rampage until he gets his sister all to himself.

enjoy! ;) magic

Lost Boys: The Tribe

29 Sep

This is not really a sequel to 1987’s The Lost Boys, it’s more of a spin off movie.

Unfortunately it’s been getting a lot of bad reviews, and admittedly it could have been better, but that’s not to say it hasn’t any good points.

It tried to be a lost boys movie, It tried to have the same feel and overall the movie successfully stays true with the cinematography but it ended up copying many of the events from the first one.

It takes a few events from the original mixes them up and writes some lines to glue them together.

The “Magic” isn’t there.

The story itself plodded along slowly for the first 40 or 50 minutes picking up as soon as Feldman Entered, in fact I cheered at the T.V when he appeared. ooohh yeahhh!! :)

enjoy! ;) magic

Warning:- this post does contain the films Goofs. May spoil the film.

Halloween 2007 (Directors Cut)

08 Dec

The residents of Haddonfield don’t know it yet… but death is coming to their small sleepy town.

Sixteen years ago, a ten year old boy called Michael Myers brutally kills his step father, his elder sister and her boyfriend.

Sixteen years later, he escapes from the mental institution and makes his way back to his hometown intent on a murderous rampage pursued by Dr Sam Loomis who is Michael’s doctor and the only one who knows Michael’s true evil.

Elsewhere a shy teenager by the name of Laurie Strode is babysitting on the night Michael comes home… is it pure coincidence that she and her friends are being stalked by him?

This is the directors cut if the new version released by Dimension studios earlier this year.
