House Broken

Here we have this beauty, it’s not popular going by ratings, however it’s not a total let down.

It’s got a really good cast, watch out for the neighbor she is just magic, she has a few tricks up her sleeve.

There is a good variety of characters keeping the film moving, especially when the parents go away; it will make you laugh and also make you think how much you do take your parents for granted or thanked them for putting up with our behavior in younger years! ;)

The film does have a point to put across, some other reviews have said it’s a mindless film with no concrete plot, take a look at it, Danny DeVito is back on the screen and is super in this.

After 25 years with the fire department, Tom Cathcart (Danny DeVito) is determined to enjoy his retirement with his wife (Katey Segal) and will resort to anything, even kidnapping her,  to get his slobbish twenty-something, stay at home sons to move out of the house.

Return to House on Haunted Hill

There are true horror movies, that make us laugh, there are horror comedies, that are too scary to be funny, but luckily, there are some enjoyable movies and this Return to House on Haunted Hill is super.

We have seen the original, and this movie is far better than a lot of todays remakes.. yeah, its a sequel, but the storyline is so moving, as usual, good guys, bad guys and bad guys pretending to be good guys.

The actors made their part in this film, they looked so realistic and scared, also it was fun – you will like the bad guy who thinks he’s a young John Travolta look-a-like. :P

Despite low budget of this movie, music, special effects and make-up was great – surprisingly.

After giving all these pluses we have to add – this movie is worth taking a look, maybe youngsters should not watch it as they are probably going to have nightmares, so might the adults! :)

It all started started when five people agreed to spend one night in an old abandoned haunted house . . .

What began as an evening of fun a harmless scares in exchange for one million dollars to anyone who stayed the night and survived soon turned into a night of terror.

Years later, several more people risk their lives in search of a cursed statue of Baphomet, a relic worth millions that will come at the cost of their souls.

Now, the terror begins when the doomed Return to House on Haunted Hill.

Last House On The Left

This won’t spoil the changes to the story for you but it does a lot to separate itself from the original.

It’s not a straight remake and the changes work.

The film’s ultimate triumph is its intimacy.

Iliadis succeeds in putting you in Mary’s place and in her parents’ place.

The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lakehouse, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew.

Terrified and left for dead, Mari’s only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter).

Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to “The Last House on the Left.”

House

Nothing special about this film, really.

It’s kinda like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre without any gore.

People stuck in a house, people running around scared.

A bogeyman, the occupants are weirdos etc.

So you have seen this before if you’re a horror fan, even if you’re not you still seen this before.

I have to admit that I did not miss the gore, so the movie delivers somewhat without the gore.

What comes to the actors, it was a mixed mess.

Some scenes were good and then some were so silly or so out of this world that you just had to cringe.

This movie here is horror only for those who don’t watch horror regularly.

Oh, and if someone thinks that the ending is something special or it has some deeper meaning, well haha to you sir.

It has been done several times in horror movie history.

The House Bunny

Let me just say that I’m having a great time watching The House Bunny, this is for the lads too ;)

To sum it up, The House Bunny is basically an Adam Sandler movie for girls, with Anna Faris breathing life into an otherwise flat movie with her uncanny comic ability and unbeatable charm.

In short, she makes the movie watchable, and in some moments, likable and entertaining.

When Shelly, a Playboy bunny, is tossed out of the mansion, she has nowhere to go until she falls in with the sorority girls from Zeta Tau Zeta.

The members of the sorority – who also have got to be the seven most socially clueless women on the planet – are about to lose their house.
