Driven To Kill

04 May

“Driven to Kill” (originally, and more appropriately, titled “Ruslan”) is one of the best Steven Seagal flicks in a long time.

It would take a few million dollars, a lot of retakes and a car chase or two to make this into a theatrical action-exploitation flick along the lines of “Taken,” but for a DTV movie Driven to Kill is actually quite exceptional.

As for a Seagal DTV this is up there with Urban Justice and better than Pistol Whipped. It reminds me of Charles Bronson’s low budget mid-80s movies like Murphy’s Law.

A former Russian mobster named Ruslan, who is now a crime novelist, returns home and discovers his daughter is marrying his arch nemesis.

His past also comes back to haunt him when his family is threatened. Hungry for justice, Ruslan returns to the life he once knew…with a vengeance.

Kill Theory

27 Apr

Filled with unpredictable twists what further elevates it is the fact that everyone is a killer and anyone could kill anyone at any moment this keeps you at the edge of your seat.

The acting is also above average for this kind of film especially Agnes Bruckner ,Taryn Manning,Teddy Dunn and newcomer Ryanne Duzich.

Carly Pope fans are in for a disappointment :( as she is only featured in a picture (deleted scenes?) given the quality of the film it is a wonder that lions-gate has shelved this for so long since it could become the next Saw.

The running time is somewhat short at about 80 minutes but the film makes up for that with its fast pacing.

A group of college students whom head out to a secluded vacation home to celebrate their recent graduation. However, the fun doesn’t last long when a sadistic psychopath arrives on the scene and forces the college students to participate in his deadly game. The rules of the game are simple…in order to survive, you must kill another.

K.Y.E.: Kill Your Enemy

28 Nov

3 young men from Detroit’s East Side have signed a deal with a cable show in which they allow themselves to be filmed throughout their last day of freedom before getting locked up for their crimes.

They use the remaining 24 hours to clear up unfinished business and a final settling of old scores.

Once they begin doing exactly that, they find out that it’s a lot harder than they bargained for.

It turns out that these dudes aren’t quite the gangster badasses they proclaim themselves to be.

This mockumentary-style movie profiles three characters who are given a series of rules to follow as they attempt to murder their enemies and catch the act on camera.

enjoy! ;) magic

Righteous Kill

It is what you would expect from Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

They’ve been doing these kind of roles for the past 30 years of their acting life.

The film itself was not a blast.

Totally predictable plot, stereotype good cop bad cop, drug dealers, bad neighborhood were huge minus to this movie.

Lack of character development made the film implausible and some parts inconvicible no matter how great the acting was.

Finally, the director’s abuse of dramatic music without much happening throughout the film slowly eats away your patience. ;)

Two veteran New York City detectives (De Niro and Pacino) work to identify the possible connection between a recent murder and a case they believe they solved years ago; is there a serial killer on the loose, and did they perhaps put the wrong person behind bars?
