Tinker Bell And The Lost Treasure

08 Oct

All fans of Tinker Bell and her first movie have no reason to worry; “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” is a full-worthy sequel to the first movie.

Considering that there’s only one year of absence between the movies, the filmmakers have done a good job to make this a complete movie and not only a product for cash-cowing, like it easily could have been.

The film focus more on the relationship between Tink and Terence this time, which serves the movie well. Tink herself is presented as a versatile character and the fact that she actually talks feels never distracting in neither of the movies.

Otherwise, this film has the cuteness-factor like the first flick had, which only makes the experience more enjoyable, but it’s also a bit more edgier in terms of the adventurous plot.

The animation is even better this time, the characters are still likable and the cute score of Joel McNeely fits the movie well. Besides, there are more humor in the screenplay.

This year’s Autumn Revelry promises to be something special.

A blue harvest moon will rise, allowing the fairies to use a precious moonstone to restore the Pixie Dust Tree — the source of all their magic.

But when Tinker Bell accidentally puts all of Pixie Hollow in jeopardy, she must venture out across the sea on a secret quest to set things right.

With some help from her friend Terence — and a charming, rascally firefly named Blaze — Tink braves an astonishing new world and discovers the greatest treasure of all.

The Lost Treasure Of The Grand Canyon

18 May

This movie is so predictable, you’ll think you were the one who produced it.

Once again, the writers for the Sci-Fi Channel original movies got so very original that they made a complete mish-mash of the Aztecs, their culture and their mythology.

Nineteenth century archeologists seeking lost treasure find bad things instead,  and the self-serving bitch Hildy, nicely performed by Ms. Doerksen.

Its got mixed reviews this one so judge for your self ;)

In the early days of the 20th Century, an expedition led by Dr. Samuel Jordon traveled deep into the Grand Canyon in search of a long-rumored hidden city.

The entire team disappeared, but when Jordon’s archaeologist daughter Susan (Shannen Doherty) leads a rescue party into the uncharted valley, she will discover an ancient civilization ruled by savage warriors, human sacrifice and a mythological monster that feeds on carnage.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

01 Apr

Safe fun entertainment where people don’t get killed, just cars and so forth.

The thrills and chills are little less potent, the jokes a bit too cute, and Ed Harris’ character is a little ambiguous by the end as if Harris is getting a little tired of the stereotype he has played in movie after movie.

There is some drama, though perhaps not enough and the funny comedy doesn’t always seem to balance the adventure aspect.

Overall, though the movie was enjoyable, fun, a thrill ride if not completely transporting into the Indiana Jones realm.

Boring it was not, but a bit manipulative, not as edgy, not as dramatic as it could have been.

When a missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth surfaces, Ben’s great-great grandfather is suddenly implicated as a key conspirator in Abraham Lincoln’s death.

Determined to prove his ancestor’s innocence, Ben follows an international chain of clues that takes him on a chase from Paris to London and ultimately back to America.

enjoy! ;) magic
