The plot was intelligent, original, interesting and emotionally engaging.

All of the characters in some way evoked my sympathy and the standard of acting was excellent.

There wasn’t as much dancing and music as I expected, but for me that didn’t matter since I was more interested in the story.

I don’t see why anyone of a romantic nature (male or female) wouldn’t thoroughly enjoy this film.

Highly recommended.

A young woman from a small town who moves to Chicago with dreams of entering the Chicago School of Music and Dance.

But after rejection and a series of misfortunes she finds herself working in a burlesque club.

Sophie, who lives with her mother in a dilapidated hotel on an idyllic Greek island, wants nothing more than for her father to be at her forthcoming wedding.

The trouble is her father could be any one of three men with whom her mother dot dot dotted twenty years ago.

So Sophie invites all three of them to her wedding and, as expected, complications ensue.

The story, such as it is, is quite strong enough to enable the songs to be hooked onto it.

Over 24 chaotic, magical hours, new love will bloom and old romances will be rekindled on this lush island full of possibilities.

Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs from “Dancing Queen” and “S.O.S.” to “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me,” Mamma Mia! is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found.

What makes the movie work so well is the amazing platonic and romantic chemistry of the two leads, Rogen and Elizabeth Banks.

I can’t think of two performers who have skyrocketed more in terms of fame over the last three years.

Have faith in the fact that this film, despite being controversial and borderline wrong in some parts, is one of the funniest and romantic comedies of the decade.

What happens when you mix Kevin Smith’s witty and snappy dialog with the outrageous humor of a guy like Seth Rogen? Pure brilliance, that’s what.

Roommates and longtime friends Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) meet a gay couple (Brandon Routh and Justin Long) at a high school reunion held on the eve of Thanksgiving.

One of these guys (Routh) is so handsome and charming Miri crudely and of course futilely propositions him on the spot.

It turns out the gay men produce and act in their own profitable line of gay porn films.

This was a very funny film, excellent screenplay, with engaging characters, film plot, and a good ending.

I recommend this highly to anyone who appreciates a good comedy.

Two energy drink spokesmen, Wheeler and Danny (Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd) get in trouble with the law after Danny has a break-up with his girlfriend (Elizabeth Banks who is in everything these days).

They are given the choice of jail or community service with troubled kids, and choose the latter.

Danny is given a boy Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse of Superbad) who wears a cape and is into role-playing games.

Wheeler is given a foul mouthed terror of a boy (Bobb’e J. Thompson).

I was not expecting a very good movie, but this turned out to be pretty well done.

The plot was an old story, but they did a very good job keeping it fresh and not distractingly predictable.

This would have been awful in the hands of anybody other than Bernie Mac and Samuel Jackson.

Mac’s expressions and his earnestness in selling a gag are irrepressible and Jackson knows when to be a straight man and when to deliver something special.

Another re-write and some stronger direction would have made this a classic.

The story begins when two former singers Named Floyd Henderson (Bernie Mac), and Louis Hinds (Samuel L. Jackson) in the seventies where in a group called The Real Deal.

Now thirty years, after learning about one of there partners named Marcus Hooks(John Legend), died of a heart attack.

Despite a little old grudges with each other, Floyd and Louis decide to re-team anyway.

But during a trip that might encounter misadventure.

Will they make it without killing each other first.

When it started up I was immediately sucked in, and I never became uninterested and it never stopped entertaining, because they did an excellent job at keeping your attention.

There were some parts in the movie where I felt as if they tried too hard to please the audience and then others it got a little dumb and boring, but overall I laughed I almost cried and when it was over I wanted to watch it again.

It’s a great sequel to a great movie and I enjoyed watching it as much as the first.

It’s fantastic , you must see it.

The sequel of the first movie, the New York Zoo Animals, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo, still stranded on Madagascar, started to leave the island.

All of a sudden, they landed in the wilderness of Africa.

After the critically acclaimed and much successful ‘Casino Royale’ I had hopes that ‘Quantum of Solace’ could rival this years best movie so far: ‘The Dark Knight’.

Well… it doesn’t even come close.

There use to be a time when Bond movies where trendsetting…

On paper Quantum of Solace may be a Bond movie.

But many of those things that people use to associate with Bond movies are gone.

And what’s up with this new style of filming and editing?

Quantum of Solace’ continues the high octane adventures of James Bond from ‘Casino Royale’.

Picking up literally days where the previous film left off, after being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal.

The two adult leads are almost immediately plunged into a nightmare where children have the upper hand and where respect for adults is thrown out of the window yet the adults still view the amoral, feral youth as children (at least initially).

Eden Lake plays as virtually a documentary of Britain in 2008 and as a film gives us a stark reflection of what is happening in this country today.

The only difference being that Eden Lake takes place in the countryside while the real violence in the UK takes place on our city streets.

This is not the type of film to watch if your going on a first date with your girlfriend, contains shocking scenes of horror

Like a bad dream turned worst nightmare, Eden Lake is a “relentlessly tense and immaculately paced” (Twitch Film) horror-thriller about modern youth gone wild.

When a young couple goes to a remote wooded lake for a romantic getaway, their quiet weekend is shattered by an aggressive group of local kids.

This is not Japanese so don’t expect some impressive “camera” (this is animation) movements but with pretty skilled use of CG here and there it manages to pull of some exciting stuff.

The story could of been a bit more elaborate, but they do throw in some details and explanations.

Horror fans will be pleased with the amount of gore and blood, but those expecting a solid intrigue and story will be left somewhat unsatisfied.

I’m saying this not because it is confusing or bleak but because along the way it promises some nice twists and does not get into details, maybe due to the fact that the movie is pretty short.
